    Train of Thought

If I had heard a quotations from Shakespeare, Gandhi, or Einstein over the NYC subway intercom, I probably would have stepped off and reported it as a case of Mary Jane in the drivers seat—ride with caution!

Amusingly enough, subway drivers on London’s Piccadilly line however have been given a book of inspirational sayings and encouraged to recite them to passengers.

    Pearls Before Breakfast

It’s easy to say that we all constantly seek to slow down and get away from our busy lives. What’s retirement if not the goal to build wealth so that we may finally find ourselves doing little, enjoying life at our own pace and on our own termspea, a complete Moment Momentum state of nirvana. Third Places

    Third Places

The whole idea of how much we have lost culturally as a result of the homoginization and corporatization of our public meeting places such as corner cafes and bars and diners is kind of depressing. Places where we can talk to not only those who we know and often agree with but also exchange ideas [...]

‘Anti-gravity yoga’ to take off in British gyms

Whether you do yoga, Pilates, or core strength training it ultimately all leads to the same goal: strengthening of the torso muscles and having full control of the alignment of the spine giving you stability and hence a solid foundation. Um…yea whatever, the important part is that the exercises provide for deep mental concentration and [...]

A Cook’s Journey, Slow Food in the Heartland

“If you think about the very best times of your life, I’ll bet that most of them were spent around a table with great food in front of you and the people you love all around. If the Slow Food movement is about anything, it is about making as many of those moments as possible”, says [...]

Taking a Breather in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is no stranger to the bustling crowds and dizzying lights that make up New York City. In fact, the two share almost the same population, NYC with an estimated 8 million people and Hong Kong with 7 million. But some will argue Hong Kong is even faster paced because of the amount of [...]

    THE SHARED SPACE CONCEPT

I don’t know if this would work in a less cohesive, more aggressive culture, but it would sure be worth a try to get rid of the traffic lights. Imagine a world without those lights, if you can. People paying attention to their driving and the others around them is a great idea. I know [...]

    Dinner. Strangers. Underground.

Think of it as crashing a dinner party, except in this case, you actually got an invitation with a BYOB request. While underground supper parties have already established their popularity in the States, in Canada their just catching on. And their growing popularity for business minded people is no shock: there's no liquor license [...]
