SIGG – WHAT THE “FRIGG” WERE YOU THINKING?

OOOPS! : “Sigg, maker of the metal, reusable bottles that became a badge of consumer eco-consciousness and all-around cool, is in danger of becoming a poster child for brand deception and corporate dishonesty.

We’ve talked about the BPA issue a lot – and how companies have reacted to the scare, and SIGG always emerged as the “good guy” that stepped in to fill the “conscious consumer’s” void!!

It’s tagline was even: “good for you, good for the environment”

Oh Dear.

This is an extreme example of Corporate Hating because SIGG totally set itself up as the healthier alternative to all the other unhealthy water bottle companies!! Understandably the consumer is pissed!

Transparency is great and all, and it’s quite rightly becoming a right and not a privilege but, hey companies, here’s some advice:

GET YOUR DAMN BIZ PROPOSITION IN ORDER BEFORE YOU START BRANDING YOURSELF AS SOMETHING YOUR NOT!! WE WILL FIND OUT SOONER OR LATER!!
