Well, actually it was declared on Monday when thousands of young men joined the facebook group rallying the cause of “standing up and doing manly things.” Started by two Indiana men, the website urges men all over to participate in “manly” activities like campfire ax play, watching every Rambo movie ever made, and eating 20 oz steaks.
Manly? perhaps. Stupid? definately. However mentioning such eyebrow raising activies doesn’t give justice to their whole cause, there’s a lot more to it than that. One enthusiastic follower wrote,
“We want to bring back the days when men stood up for what they believed in, took responsibility for their actions, treated women with respect, loved God and their country.” -via
Now as a woman, I can fully support a quarter of a million males standing up in observance to that!
